The Thirsty Bear Pub is located in Town of Peck, Langlade County, Wisconsin, USA. It is overlooking Beautiful Long Lake; which is the beginning point of the explosion of lakes, swamps and hills left in north central Wisconsin by the glaciers of a time past. It is situated on some of the highest elevation above sea level only miles away from a body of water called Summit Lake. and on the same County Road J as Irma Hill; second only in feet to the highest point in Wisconsin, Tim's Hill - just to the Northwest.

The "Bear" has swimming, fishing, volleyball and just laying around in "Bear Hollow", which one can see in the lower picture, in Summertime. The "Bear has hunting, ATV'ng and Colorama viewing in the Fall from the outdoor deck . The "Bear is on snowmobile trails where four club's trails meet and close to many X-Country Ski trails in the county of trails. Speaking of; the "Bear" is near a site in prohibition history - only 3 miles as the crow flies to Capone's "Phantom Still"...

Built in 1917 as Long Lake Resort, it had housed "Ladies of the Night"! Operated during Prohibition as a "Soda Licensed " bar. Barb Sinkler-Young-Topel, the original proprietor, lived to be well over 100 years old. One would presume the business to have been of a righteous nature, to enjoy life that long. The Thirsty bear Pub was established in the Fall of 1975...

Thanks for visiting the site & I hope all will be GREAT for you when you visit...
